Episode 67 - Community Spotlight - Rachel Garrett

10 February 2012 | Just a week after its Second Anniversary, Star Trek Online continues to pop out new content in the form of Cardassian Lock Boxes and new C-Store Boosts!  In this episode’s Blank of The Week, Elijah brings the Android App: Xabber – an XMPP client that allows you to log into the game’s chat channels on your Android tablet or smartphone.  Learn to configure the client with the help of Russel-KV4S's walkthrough for his recommended app called Jabiru.  The setup is nearly the same!  (NOTE: Cryptic accounts merged with Perfect World are unable to access the XMPP service out of game!!)  Through This Week in Trek, we celebrate the music of Star Trek.

Later in the episode, James and Alex (Priority One’s Associate Producer & Artist) introduce a new segment titled “Community Highlight” with Rachael “Chris” Garret – creator of the highly acclaimed Star Trek Online: Year Two Anniversary Tribute.

In STO News, James and Elijah discuss Season 5 Dev Diary entries 18-20, which feature the launch of the new Cardassian Lock Boxes, the Cardassian Galor Class Ship, new C-Store Service Enhancements.

Producers Note: Priority One will be moving it's publication day to Mondays instead of Fridays as of March 1st.

Good interview, I think the discussion about server and coding gave some insight into the aspects of game development and the limitations and issues the Devs face when working on the game.

Hopefully those who tune in/will tune in and critique Cryptic constantly will understand why "Things work the way they do on a starship" I mean in the game...and won't hound them with inappropriate comments on the forums.

To date I have only played 3 foundry missions (trying not to gain skill points...don't ask), "First Cause, Then Effect" was one of them. Great mission, I think it really pushes what foundry can do.
